Born: Medellin, Colombia, 1957
Summary: Milton Duque is a seasoned artist with over four decades of professional growth. His mission is to contribute to society by sensitizing, creating, and improving urban areas and spaces for all age groups, stimulating the senses, and finding beauty in dehumanized environments often referred to culturally as “The Matrix”
About Milton Duque: Milton Duque's artistic journey is a testament to resilience and cultural fusion. Born in Medellin, Colombia, in 1957, Milton has spent over 50 years perfecting his craft and striving to awaken the human spirit through his art. His work draws from a rich tapestry of experiences, including the vibrant carnival of Trinidad and Tobago, the lively Latin culture, and keen observations of societal issues like economic poverty, wars, and systemic dehumanization.
Milton's art reflects his tribulations and triumphs. He has faced significant challenges, including failing relationships, the struggles of fatherhood, and the constant battle to make ends meet. Yet, from these ashes, he has risen to create a vast and impactful body of work that aims to expand human consciousness and inspire change.
